Last time on the Great Waves Salon blog, we talked about a whopping six crazy, sexy hairstyles that are taking overheads across the nation. They are some seriously great styles from silver hair foxes to going bare, bald, and beautiful. Now, let us say that in the past two weeks since we posted that entry, you went ahead and redid your look and now you are on the prowl to debut your look. That’s what we are here for this time, to share with you some of the great events happening in our home city of Tucson, Arizona.
Running until the end of May, head out to the Tucson Botanical Garden for this beautiful exhibit. With your striking new hair color you will fit right in! As well as the butterflies zooming about, you will be able to check out the Dart Frog Terrarium and Chrysalis Exhibit. Check out the Tucson Botanical Garden site to learn more!
Mid Century Perspectives
Mid Century Perspectives: Paintings by Andy Burgess and Objects of Modern Design is on display at Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block. Burgess is a British artist who has been fascinated by the city scape. After moving to Tucson in 2009 his work began to take on a Southwestern flair. Flaunt your flair at the museum exhibit until April 22nd.
Ansel Adams: Performing the Print
Speaking of art, the University of Arizona campus is home to the Ansel Adams Archive. This exhibit consists of 24 photographs of sets of prints in groups of twos and threes to show the process of the famed photographer. Spanning the six-decade career there is a wealth of photo magic to behold. This exhibit runs through May 19th.
Did you opt for the magical silver hair we mentioned last time? Then maybe you would prefer to see some entertainment that reflects those sensibilities! The Arizona Opera is putting on two shows of Wagner’s Das Rheingold, the first chapter in his acclaimed Ring Cycle. Showings are on Saturday April 14th at 7:30 PM and Sunday April 15th, at 2 PM. Find out more details at their site, including workshops and other events that surround the opera and text.
These have been just a few of the many events going on across our beautiful city. Whether you decide to debut your looks at the opera or over a night out of dinner and drinks, the important thing is how you feel. At Great Waves, we work toward one goal and that’s to help our clients to feel as fantastic in their hair (and skin) as can be. If you need a boost, contact us and together we can lift you up.
